Erin Van Campen and Kristin Lavoy joined SADO as Assistant Defenders in 2013
Erin is a graduate of University of California Berkeley and University of Michigan Law School. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Bridget Mary McCormack, Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. Erin went to law school to become a public defender, so she is thrilled to be working as an assistant defender at SADO. Outside of work Erin loves spending time with her family, riding her bike, and gardening.
Kristin is a graduate of Michigan State University and Wayne State University Law School. During law school, she interned at SADO and knew that SADO was the place for her. Kristin began her career a trial attorney at the Legal Aid and Defender Association in Detroit where she worked for six years, representing indigent clients charged with felonies in Wayne County. Kristin is very happy to be part of the SADO team to continue her representation of indigent criminal defendants. Kristin lives in the Detroit area with her husband and spends her time trying out new restaurants, traveling, and playing poker.
