Berrien County Creates Public Defender Office - Job Opportunities
Accepting applications now through November 4th
On October 13, 2016, the Berrien County Commissioners voted 9-2 to create a Public Defender Office. The PD Office is expected to open in December and begin taking cases on January 3, 2017.
The Office will consist of: (1) one Chief PD; (2) one Chief Assistant; (3) five Asst. PD's; (4) two Legal Secretaries; (5) one part-time Office Manager; (6) one part-time Assistant Attorney; and (7) one part-time Investigator.
The County has posted all of the positions online (see pages 8-12).
